Dish stock
Dish stock limits how many plates of a dish customers can order. Choose Today only for a count that runs out today and resets at midnight, or Every day for the same limit each day, kept per date for pre-orders. Each order lowers the count and cancelled orders put it back.
Dish stock is an add-on sold on request. Ask Menuthere support to turn it on.
It counts plates of a dish. To track ingredients — rice, chicken, oil — use Inventory.

Set a limit
Step 1: Open Dish Stock
Go to More → Dish Stock. The top shows Limited dishes and Sold out now. Use Search dishes and the All, Limited and Sold out filter to find a dish.
Step 2: Choose how the dish is counted
Each dish has a choice of Unlimited, Today only or Every day. Pick one and type the number beside it.
Step 3: Save
Save and Undo appear on a dish you have changed. Press Save to apply it.

| Unlimited | No limit. This is where every dish starts. |
| Today only | A count for today. It goes down with each order; at 0 the dish switches off. At midnight in your store's time zone it goes back to unlimited and switches on again. Turn on Show "only N left" to show customers how many are left. |
| Every day | The same number every day, kept per date. A pre-order for Saturday uses Saturday's count. Type in the today box to change what is left today only. |
How counts change
- Each order lowers the count by the quantity ordered, from the website, QR ordering and POS. Sizes of one dish share one count.
- Customers can't add more to an order than what is left. Checkout tells them and offers to lower the quantity.
- If an order is cancelled, its quantities go back into the count.
- A Today only dish at 0 is switched off. Giving it more stock, or choosing Unlimited, switches it back on. A dish you switched off yourself stays off.
- An Every day dish is never switched off; only that date sells out.
- "Today" and midnight are your store's, in the Timezone set in Settings → Store details → Working hours. Check it is right if your store is outside India.
